The GCD would have us believe "The Meteor Menace" was pencilled by Ray Bailey (or Lee Elias) but I'm not buying it. I believe the Bailey influence in this and the previous episode are the result of the penciller swiping from Bailey's "Tom Corbett" strips. There are also Alex Raymond swipes and some that look familiar but I don't recognize. Whoever pencilled these was a less-skilled artist relying on swipes. The feature really spruced up in the following issue when Reed Crandall took over pencilling.
