Fantastic choices on Random 12 today – as on every day – but this one tops the lot. There is one odd artistic choice in this little gem – the way Hazel’s thoughts always end with, ‘thought Hazel’ Was she a secret illeist, Andrew asked? Almost Bollywood in its tale of unrequited love with two brothers and two sisters - both on opposite sides of the emotional coin - passing through life’s torturous trail of ragged romance. There’s a murder to solve and a fortune to behold. Deftly handled by the unknown writer and striking pencils from the unknown artist. Can such a twisted tale of wrinkled relationships end happily? You’ll have to read it first to find out.

The story is told in almost cinematic images. Very impressive! Every panel drives the plot forward. And the artwork is far above average for comics from this period.
