Corría el año 1966 y los cómics de superhéroes como Superman o Batman tenían buenas ventas. Por lo anterior editorial Zig Zag se anima a sacar una revista de ese estilo. Creación del guionista y dibujante Luis Cerna, la nueva revista recibe el nombre de Capitán Júpiter. Este pasa a ser uno de los primeros superhéroes latinoamericanos. Si bien el dibujo no es todo lo bueno que se esperaba y los guiones son un tanto obvios e infantiles, no deja de ser un aporte el riesgo que tomó la editorial al sacar este tipo de material.
