A fun book, an odd idea in today's video-soaked world--but whoop! There's Frank Frazetta! And of course the piece is about Burt Lancaster!

The funny part is that in real-world tale still got in one of his favorite subjects. Note the last panel of our page 35, with the lovingly-rendered "Props from The Lost World."

in 'Dear Brat' eems clear to me that the artist worked from supplied stills, and probably did not have much scope to deviate. many of the illustrations are much more detailed than necessary and many don't effectively su[[ort tje dialogue. Page 8 panel 1, Page 18 last panel, Page 24 panel 4, Page 26 panel 1. What's interesting tho, is the subject matter of the story. Very powerful. I would also hazard a guess that Frazetta worked from stills on his figures of Lancaster. They are uncharacteristically stiff and lifeless for Frazetta, [and for Lancaster for that matter] even in contrast to some of the background figures here. This kind of work would have been done under strict studio control so no doubt they worked this way under orders. And Natalie Wood age 11. Priceless.
