It's a shame the artist isn't credited. This is some very good classic pen-and-ink work with a nice painted frontispiece. I've read that Haddon Sundblom's Coca Cola Santa finalized the jolly-fat-guy version of Santa Claus which replaced the more imposing images of artists like Thomas Nast. However here the familiar American Santa is pretty much already in place, with less white fur maybe, and needing a trim to the beard. I wonder who decided Santa was obese.
