So this book was published by the same outfit that did those second-rate gag cartoon books (e.g. "Gal Snaps") as well as the very odd funny-animal-vs-Hitler strip "Bee-29 the Bombardier"? Quite a line-up. |

Chippie and Paddy could be by Fleischer animator Al Pross, going by how the ears and dog noses are drawn. Chumpy could be by Hal Lockwood, also a Fleischer animator, going by how the monkey is drawn. The name “Pat Wood” could be a combination of Lockwood and his wife’s name, Patricia. |
