Thanks Dave for uploading this great example of early funny animal comic book art. I've been looking for it for many years.

So this book was published by the same outfit that did those second-rate gag cartoon books (e.g. "Gal Snaps") as well as the very odd funny-animal-vs-Hitler strip "Bee-29 the Bombardier"? Quite a line-up.

Chippie and Paddy could be by Fleischer animator Al Pross, going by how the ears and dog noses are drawn. Chumpy could be by Hal Lockwood, also a Fleischer animator, going by how the monkey is drawn. The name “Pat Wood” could be a combination of Lockwood and his wife’s name, Patricia.
