SynopsisTrapped in the cavern of mutants from the previous story, the Heap feels the antidote he was given by his friend (issue #4) begin to work as he begins to revert back to human (Jim Roberts). Now that he's powerless, he is at the mercy of the mutants. He then gets attacked by a giant spider (another of the mutations). Jim and a sheriff he's with, manage to impale the spider with a huge log. In its death throes, the spider causes the cavern to cave in destroying the mutants. Jim escapes and is reunited with his love. All seems well, until the antidote wears off and he reverts back into the Heap.

SynopsisAfter escaping from Le Suub and his minions in the previous issue, the monster and Lilith (the blind seer he is with), get abducted by the Phantom of the Opera (Erik). Erik had built an organ that is so powerful, it can send objects through time. He has allied himself with Dr. Pretorius and they plan on replacing the monster's brain with that of Dr. Frankenstein so Pretorius can crack the code of creating life. Lilith uses telekinesis to sabotage the experiment causing an explosion which sends the monster into another time period.

SynopsisA pilot is held hostage by two bank robbers who force him to fly them to safety. His plane crashes into the desert. The three men must get to civilization before they die of thirst. The pilot and one of the robbers kill the other so they can ration water between the two of them. Ultimately the pilot reveals he is a vampire and kills the remaining robber for food. The pilot then collapses and finds himself entering hell. It turns out it was all an illusion as the three of them had died when the plane crashed.
