A couple of quick comments. (1) Veronica Lake appears on the cover but on page 3 it says the cover girl is "Helen O'Hara." (2) this is dated January 1946, so probably was completed in fall 1945. Some of the gags are post-war, but most still feature military men. (3) early television gag on page 35. (4) As seems to be usual with this genre of magazine, the artists are mostly unfamiliar (in terms of comic book work). There doesn't seem to have been a lot of cross-over between comic books/comic strips and one-panel gag cartoons. Nice to see Art Helfant's work on the text-joke pages, and there are 2 Vic Herman cartoons.
