Page 5 Middle Panel. Why is it that a man pugging his arm around a women's neck from behind, causes us to instinctively to react that it is a violent and potentially harmful act?

Great. Lilliputs/picolinos/striscie (have I spelled that correctly?) in USA. There is another one on site, but this is an unusual format for American comics. Very popular in Italy, Spain, Netherlands and I've seen quite a few German ones. Thank you Pmackscans.

In Germany this format is called 'Piccolo', which is simply the Italian word for 'small'. This format was and is very popular in Germany. In the 50s and 60s there were dozens of comic series with thousands of Piccolos, and even today there are some modern series in small collectors' editions.
