NotesGirl's/young woman's weekly published by C. Arthur Pearson featuring photo strips, comic strip, stars of the time. Scanner has listed this issue as #6 but there is no number on the cover or in the indicia. This title isn't listed in the British guide. I don't know the scanner but if anyone does, let me know and I'll change the attribution.

Interesting UK photo-comic example. although I must say that giant close-up on the cover makes that teen look rather manic.

To my eye these photo-comics look better than their Italian counterparts. Panel composition and staging are better, and the actors look like they're actually having fun. The actors in many Italian foto-fumetti look like they just rolled out of bed and haven't had their coffee. I think a couple of these panels, like the girl in the park listening to her radio, may have been touched by a little pre-Photoshop cut and paste. Good looking overall, though.

Thanks, Paw! Wow- Radio Luxembourg! Love to hear some stories from anyone on your side of the pond about growing up with RL, Caroline, and any other "unapproved" stations. cheers, Bowers
