I wish these early PL editors hadn’t spent so much of their valuable time getting artists to draw unlike themselves, especially when there was absolutely nothing incongruous about their natural style. Despite everybody’s best efforts to anonymise a style that’s usually unmistakeable, I think this was drawn by Hugh Thornton-Jones.
