Nearby, a pleasure cruiser with two men aboard are scheduled to rendezvous with the submarine to smuggle packages of microfilm to the sub's crew.

During a field play, Jonesy distracts Chuck by running the wrong way and Chuck collides with other players and is knocked unconscious. He's rushed to the hospital, where X-rays are taken. The Dean asks Father Carroll to get in touch with Chuck's parents, but is told that they're in Panama. Fr. Carroll is told that Chuck's sports days and perhaps walking days may be over.
