These four 'Diary Confessions' have a cover stating, 'possibly Bob Powell'. I don't see Powell's distinctives in any of them. They do all appear to be by the same artist.
Its not impossible that they are Eugene Hughes, but unlikely. Hughes annoys me because he put all his effort into covers and very little, almost scribble, into his storytelling.

Eugene Hughes is an odd case--some of his work is decent (look at "True Love" in Mister Mystery 14) but as time went by, he got very sloppy (this issue is particularly bad). Maybe it was the pressure of drawing entire issues of romance, war, and Western comics for Stanley Morse. His last original work seems to have been done in 1956-57.
