Notes | The American Illustrated newspaper was published in 40 issues from June 29, 1907 to March 28, 1908 by the World Bookstore. Weekly, this newspaper consisted of 16 large-format illustrated pages, including 8 in color. He gave an important place to stories in pictures by French authors, to American pseudonyms. We thus find in its pages authors such as: Nay, Jean d'Aurian, Hémard, Marcel Capy, Lajarrige, Moriss, Forton, Depaquit and series such as Jim Pattarson, inventor by Pierre Falké, The adventures of Séraphin Laricot by Forton , Thomas Picook, detective by Thomen or the Humorous History of France by Sellier. Many stories were inspired by American themes such as cowboys and Indians, businessmen, American tourists in Paris but were made by French authors.
