Thanks again, FraBig! Although I love Quality comics, somehow Police Comics just wasn't a favorite- I didn't care much for Plastic Man. Thanks for showing me what I was missing out on! Cheers, Bowers

For some reason I haven't spent much time looking at the Quality comics on CB+ so this character is new to me.
I like him very much.
I'm surprised that DC, who own the Quality characters, haven't revived him.
The first story tho, has a big credibility hole in it. If, in his first story, he turns up in a prison cell with a costume that says, #711, he would be giving his identity away immediately. I can see a few ways to tweak his origin slightly to prevent that.
I think the character has potential for revival.
This story-line, for some reason, put me in mind of the movie, THE GREEN MILE.
Oh, and when did he start an all night grocery and food franchise?

Actually, 711's remarks at the end of the first story are enough to blow his not-so-secret identity wide open. After which I find it hard to take the whole thing seriously, until his ... but wait, I don't want to give away the startling ending! Over all I think it's a nice idea badly managed, but thanks to FraBig for collecting it all for us.

I always enjoy these collections, thanks. But tell me if I'm seeing something wrong. On page 5 of the scan, in the first story, Dyce is sentenced to life under the name of his friend, Jacob Horn. Yet 2 panels later, "a few lines in a remote corner of a newspaper" indicate (the real) "Jacob Horn...was instantly killed." So Dyce pretended to be Jacob Horn but the real Horn didn't change his name? Oh well, this is nit-picking, especially in a story where a "promising young attorney" can just say he's somebody else and get sentenced to life in prison, but then dig his way out and become a crime-fighter (returning to prison voluntarily).
