Synopsis | Captain Hawkins is disliked by Commandant Luther Mynot for how Hawkins' father rode Mynot when he was younger. Mynot assigns his son Groll to Captain Hawkins' ship, the Penumbra. Groll gets space sickness. Instead of putting Groll adrift according to protocol, Hawkins returns Groll to the hospital. Gykosians raid the scientific station on a planetoid named Gykos that Hawkins was supposed to check on. This causes Commandant Mynot to banish Hawkins to Malooka where the Gykosians are holding the scientists from Gykos. |
