Thanks for this! A highly interesting "experiment" aimed at adult readers. "Hat Check 21" features a stalker (before that term was commonly used) and shows the victim trying to work through the system (i.e., the courts) for protection, only to be demeaned and have her stalker set free! |

(Repost cuz the first disappeared). The stalker story left me scratching my head. Why on earth did Reed Crandall draw the stalker, "Mr Appel," as one of the Asian racial caricatures he used to draw in WWII comics? And why did editor Biro let the story be published that way? |
