CAPTAIN ATOM #24 by Arthur Mather was published by Atlas Publication in February 1950 (estimated). This issue sees the good Captain pitted against Crooks Incorporated, a collective of four arch-criminals – the Wrecker, Octopus, Python and Invisible Gangster. This story is backed-up by a western featuring Slim McGee, and two 1-page humour strips both featuring the Chaplinesque ’Erb. There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page

I've covered Arthur Mather in previous postings of Captain Atom, so this time I'm linking to an interview with Mather so you can hear from him in his own words. The interview was conducted by Australian comics historian Kevin Patrick on his blog at https:comicsdownunder.blogspot.com/2016/12/arthur-mather-life-with-captain-atom.html It covers Mather throughout his life, mostly his comics work, but also his career as a comics artist in newspapers and magazines, and his novels. Mather also talks about Jack Bellew, who came up with the idea of Captain Atom and wrote the first dozen issues before Mather became the writer as well as the artist.
