This issue is a reprint, though the original issue isn't known (the records are incomplete, and it may have a new cover). The publisher, Tricho, is a reprint publisher for Frew titles. It's likely to be an early issue (the first page has a couple of panels dedicated to the origin of the character, an early feature that became infrequent towards the end of the new stories run of the comic). The art is by Peter Chapman. If I were to make a guess, I'd suggest this reprints The Shadow #11, which has the Shadow using a trapeze on the cover. That would make this a 1966 reprint of a 1955 original.

Re: our page 5, last panel: "old fruit"???

You will notice on the same page that Jimmy also calls her, 'Old Girl' He is supposed to be an effete upper-class toff and he is playing the part by exageraing his 'toffyness'. 'Old Girl' was common in Australia as was 'Old Man' but 'Old Fruit' as has been said, was more English upper class.
