MURDER IN THE NIGHT was one of those double-featured comics published by the Offset Printing Company, in this case in July 1945 (estimated). The two features are RED STEEL by Hal English and SHADO McGRAW by Will Donald. The different art styles of English and Donald are at even greater contrast than usual as Hal English is employing the shading that lifted his in the Carl Dane series at about this time. There are a number of comics featuring the unconnected stories of Red Steel and Shado McGraw – if you want to find more, search using character or creator names on this site. I'm uncertain why the story is 'Murder in the Night' on the cover and 'Murder at Night' in the actual story, given Hal English created both (which in Australia at the time means he would have lettered both). Also, the cover is a plain homage to Detective Tals vol.5 #3 - see https:media.mycomicshop.com/n_iv/600/4836256.jpg to compare.
