Even if you're not into romance comics, this one has some interesting aspects.
1. the centerspread (page 28 of scan) is pretty elaborate and unusual. Worth a look.
2. this comic is VERY dialogue-heavy. All of the stories have a lot of captions and dialogue balloons, in some cases 75% of a panel is non-art. Look at page 4 as an example.
3. despite this over-reliance on words, the art is generally competent throughout. "Torment" is drawn by John Prentice, who took over the "Rip Kirby" newspaper comic after the death of Alex Raymond.
4. the first story has a bit more psychological depth than one would expect -- a young woman marries a guy, then discovers he's a criminal. But she stays with him and even willingly participates in his life of crime! Eventually she repents of course and in the final panel she SAYS her husband also repented, but we never see that.
