Krakos the Egyptian is new to me, and I'm confused. The story is very disjointed and seems like it's part of a serial. What is the backstory here?

Even to me, who is supposed to know a bit about obscure British comic characters, Krakos is a rare beast.  I was born just too late to get full value from Swan titles, although I do remember their very particular humour art.  And don't start me about the Red Avenger in this very album.  Never been aware of this superhero before melbee uploaded the book.
