Finds for French Fans

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this blog before, Le BD Max Exhumator.

http://bdvintagerares.blogspot.com

It offers a raft of downloadable French comics, mostly from the 50s and 60s. Each post describes a given title, listing both the main feature and the backup features, if any. Each article usually offers 3 or 4 downloads, sometimes of individual issues, sometimes of several issues in one file. It's a great source of hard-to-find French books.

***WARNING!***

This recommendation comes with a big caveat! About half of the downloads are clean Mediafire links. Unfortunately the rest go through some kind of download aggregator site that is a major pain. I haven't picked up any malware there, but you have to read carefully--the site offers numerous "download" buttons, only one of which accesses the file you want. The others attempt to install various sorts of crapware. Also, when you're done you'll find your desktop cluttered with windows advertising gambling sites and such.

You do eventually get your comic(s), and many of them are worth having. However I suggest before clicking on a blog link you check to see where you're being directed. Then you can decide if you want to deal with the extra BS--especially since the download site won't load if you have an ad blocker on.

It's too bad all the links aren't clean, because there is great stuff here.

Give that man a medal. ;D  What a great find.  Yes, you have to be careful which links you click, and there's a lot of crap on your machine by the time you're finished, BUT, well worth carefully searching through the site.  I already found a French Translation of an Italian Satanik -confusingly re-titled Demoniak, which is the title of an Italian '60's pocket library giallo, featuring the weird looking costumed menace, Demoniak and the costumed, motorcycle riding hero, Judex.
Lots of exploring to do.
