A wonderful beginning to the Greyfriars stories with detailed characterization of Harry Warton as he faces the somewhat harsh challenges of bullying and enforced conformity at his new boarding school. The style is slightly brutal compared to the mellow humor of the 1930's magnets with which I am more familiar but this is none the less a compelling read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to working my way gradually through these early publications.
