Pretty sad that most of what made Fantastic Comics good became absent as the series ended. I would like to read Fantastic Comics #24 but that isn't public domain nor is it available as digital.

He's probably referring to issue #24 published in 2008 by Image Comics as part of their Next Issue Project. This was where they continued the numbering of long cancelled Golden age comics and let modern creators take a shot at the various GA characters that had been featured in the original series    There were also "next issues" of Crack Comics and Silver Streak Comics published. A "next issue" of Speed Comics was announced but I don't think it has ever come out.   I found the results of the project to be very mixed with a few good stories, a number of middling efforts and some that were gawdawful, IMHO.
