I know that the MST3K team has a comic coming out that features the exact same sort of set up, but this is something I've been doing for some friends for a couple years now in private and felt, with the surge of riffing culture, that now is a time to make it happen publicly. I figured it would be worth sharing with y'all.

This comic, called Public Domain Webcomic, is a spinoff of another webcomic I do called RGBots which features three jerk robots and a limited pool of panels. For a few years now I've been privately riffing some comics by my fellow cartoonists for gatherings and such, but I was encouraged to go "bigger" with it. For about a year and a half now I've been combing through public domain comics and building an archive of material and I am finally posting this material twice a week.

MST3K is such a huge inspiration to me in general, and my new comic's set up definitely evokes the spirit of MST3K, even if the language is a little more NSFW and the jokes are a little more blue. One thing I am excited about is that I will be tackling every single Stardust the Super Wizard story in the public domain. I've gotten most of my material from this very website, and I always provide a referral link to the archived story with each update.
