Is there any other members also doing this saintly deed?
I imagine if more members pooled together on such off-site assists Golden Age Downloads might be restored to it's former glory? 

I am a newbie and haven't even earned a single download yet, but I've been fortunate today to grab a few comics to get the ball rolling. To be honest, it's pretty harsh to find this site and not be able to enjoy it frequently or at all- although I've been reading about all the recent problems and I understand.
My luck, I'm always a day late and a dollar short.

Aqualad newbies get 20 downloads a month. You must first be set up. You now have your 20 downloads. I am basically doing all the internal workings and am only one old man. Hopefully when Janus gets back this weekend he will set up a couple others as mods to help out

Wow! I never expected such quick responses -  Thank you narfstar - I wish I could help - sadly I'm not too technical - I've just always loved the comic book hobby - much like yourself I would suppose   
PS: I'm a 12 cent kid who bought them at the old Rexall Drug store and I'm still excited to see what happens each month

I too was a twelve cent kid. My big rememberance of Rexall was that they were the annual sponsor of Alice In Wonderland on TV

& they never chased me out of the store for reading the comics I didn't buy either

I wish I had more to share but my personal GA collection is kind of small.  I've got about a half-dozen left books to scan & upload to the main site (whenever my back decides to quick acting-up).  I also have a handful of other books that this site already has that I'll probably scan just to have them at the 4shared site for anyone who wants to grab them.

I used to be a Newbie, too, with a dial-up connection no less, so I understand the frustration new members are having by not being able to grab a lot of books every day.  If my little collection of books can keep people happy for a while, that's great.  I scanned this stuff to share it after all, so I'ld like to see people get it, whether it's from here or my own little corner of the internet.

If any of the other scanners want me to carry their scans in my 4shared folder (I've got 10GB to play with), give me a yell, because I won't carry another scanners books unless I get their OK.
