I thought I’d take a look at this as I like to share in what others are reading on the site. I was pleasantly surprised by the art – hints of early Steve Ditko I thought.

Although I’m not a big super hero fan, I liked Captain Atom and his atomic power. The first story’s multiple image effect was ingenious. The second story has the enchanting Princess Lais and a less-than-enchanting little snot of a kid who deserves a big kick up the backside – at least at first. I loved the bedclothes and curtains on page 15 – things like that are really difficult to get right – well done, the artist.

The back-up strip, Jim Stern, was also good – a foreign legion tale set in a distant land somewhere in the Sahara with a neat twist in the tale.

A good value comic buy, I’d say
