Stuffed to the gills after Xmas, thought I’d find a corner to snooze and give this a shot- thanks to onlybizet for highlighting it.

Not sure why, but I liked Hasen’s art on Cat Man – perhaps it was the confident use of colour, but his line drawing is dreck! Jane Drake – Detective has pages missing and Solar Legion’s writing would embarrass a six-year-old. I was beginning to lose hope but then…

Shangra rescues the magazine with the semblance of a plot and the writer’s name, Nam Chung Po, is an anagram of one of my favourite drinks – Mango Punch - so I’m guessing it’s a joke? Perhaps the writer was also the artist Pagsilang Rey Isip - there are a couple of Filipino words in the script (Ikaw and Loko)?

I know, I know, you want my recipe for Mango Punch, here it is: one tot of Malibu liqueur, half-glass of mango juice, floating generous slice of lemon or lime and sweet strawberries on a stick (preferably from the Tamar Valley in Devon, gathered in early June) = perfect for any New Year's Eve party
