Rick Random shows he’s a master of time and space in this epoch-spanning adventure. Beautiful pencils – look at the Doctor and Jenny on page 2 – are they by Ron Turner? Odd to be reading this story of spacetime displacement on the day that astrophysicist Dr Ron Mallett announced a breakthrough in time travel – is that synchronicity or just creepy?
Rick sets off in pursuit of an assistant who has plummeted into the past. Ably assisted by twin blondes he bounces to the future and past not once materialising in deep space or the centre of a rock. In the future, he discovers the perfect solution to inner city transport congestion – count me in! There’s a story-within-the-story of an interplanetary war and a Doomsday (or is it Domesday) Machine which would have spawned have a dozen Trek movies, a time paradox (do we already live in a parallel reality – how would we know?) and the Battle of Hastings.
Take a deep breath before you begin this one – there won’t be time later!
