Dick Ayers art reminds me of Steve Ditko – those flattened features and full-face panels. I like it but the best work IMO comes from Angelo Torres on When Your Number’s Up. Best story was The Crystal – very prescient – how many of us have known kids so lost in a video game, they forget to eat.

Interesting. To me Ditko's anatomy is always rounded and curved. Ayres anatomy is stretched and angular, particularly his full figures. There was, for me always something a little distorted in his work.
