'Pencils: Matt Baker | Inks: Vince Colletta' Words to make me shudder.
Just strips all the life out of Matt Baker's pencils.
There are time when Colletta's inking is appropriate. This was not one of them.
Also, on page 2 panels 3 and 4 of the story, 'The Man Who Couldn't Miss', The eyes are atrocious.

Matt Baker did a lot of Charlton work through Colletta's studio. I can't imagine why he was stuck at the bottom of the barrel. I know he had heart trouble which eventually caused his early death. Maybe these pencil jobs were all he could handle at the time. In some of his earlier jobs, like this one, you can see he put some effort into the pencils (which Colletta ignored). Most of them were pretty dismal. I can't really blame him. Consider this: Charlton was already paying rock bottom rates, and Colletta got a chunk of that. Baker couldn't have been making decent money.
