Another anthropomorphic-funny Animals series, that I really like. The drawings are "flowing" and look like they come from a cartoon, really wonderful! And there are bears too !. :-) Obviously it took many years for the series to be completely here at CB+, so I'm actually glad, that I discovered CB+ so late. :-) Thanks again to the owners of the comics, the scanners, the uploaders and of course CB+.

I think the reason, I like these types of comics so much, is because they remind me of the cartoons and movies, I saw on TV as a kid. :-)

In this case, that is no coincidence.  The writer of this comic book was Joe Barbera, the partner of Bill Hanna, who together worked for many years at MGM, producing "Tom & Jerry" cartoon shorts.  One of their main animators on those cartoons, Harvey Eisenberg, was the first (and main) artist for Red Rabbit Comics, and drew this whole book, and the first 3/4 of the series' issues.  He also drew all 7 issues of "Foxy Fagan Comics" , by this publisher, Dearfield Publishing Co.  You'll like "Foxy Fagan", as Eisenberg's style on that series is almost exactly like his "Tom & Jerry" cartoons, with Foxy Fagan looking very like Tom(Cat), and one of his main comedy foils is a clone of MGM's sad-looking, slow-moving, hound dog, Droopy, who tormented Tex Avery's villain Wolf in the "Happy Hound" and "Droopy" cartoons.  In this comic book series, the hound is an amateur scientist, who invents seemingly ridiculous inventions (like Barks' Gyro Gearloose).

So, I hope you will also give Dearfield's "Foxy Fagan" a look.

Robb, thanks again for the information. With pride :) I can say, that I already have 'Foxy Fagan' in my constantly growing personal archive. :)

Perhaps an amusing story: As a child, I read 'Hanna-Barbera' on TV in the opening credits of the cartoons. But I didn't understand the '-' correctly at the time and thought, that 'Hanna-Barbera' was a woman named Hanna Barbera. It was not until many years later, that the mistake was cleared up and I was very surprised, that the woman was actually two men. ;D
