I was inspired to read this because of Yoko Tani - an extraordinary character whose life would make a great movie in itself. I first saw her in a British B-movie, Piccadilly Third Stop - which is still worth watching today, if only to spot the stars of later years in early roles:

I was then surprised to find Yoko popping up in some Italian movies when I went through a peplum-loving phase - that included Marco Polo but also the excellent Ursus and the Tartar Princess:

If that wasn't enough for one life - she then made some decent Eurospy movies that included The Spy Who Loved Flowers:
