I will be out of town for the next 2 days, I will have internet access one of those days. I emailed a message to the coder for an update.

One good news at least for me is that all our comics have not be encryted forever. I was panicking a bit there. Every comic when you look into the server is renamed:

fjdklfjdskfja;jfkladsfjdk;lfjasdfjkdfjsd.rwd
fhdskjfhnsdkjhfvnksjdncv,mdncv,mj.rwd

etc, however, as the maker of this RW DOWNLOAD software emailed he stated:

"The script changes the extension of files to rwd but the database keeps the original name and renames it back when downloading. This way the files on your server are hidden from people trying to guess filenames or upload php scripts and running them on your server. It's a security feature."

I am thinking everything is actually ok with the database and its just the server and a script issue.

Hopefully, the coder will get back to me shortly, so we can be back up with our old site (this one).

Like I said, this script, is terrible in my opinion no offense to the maker of this, but I really do not want comics encrypted like this and relying on a database to change the names back...

(I guess this is one of the many things users of GAC) may not have know, even I did not know this until today....

I really hate this script - its so bad in every way...
