Hello, everyone from Ann Arbor, MI!

Hello, everyone!

been a longtime comic book reader and have always had a fondness for the vintage stuff. Started out reading the Harvey lines, Archies and then moved up to Marvel superheros and finally to the DC line. Actually worked in an awesome comic book shop for a few years in the late 80's/early 90's where my tastes expanded to include many of the independents. Still love the superhero stuff (mainly DC) and I read and collect comics with my six year old son now (we also LOVE the DC Universe Classic Action Figures!). Since discovering digital comics (and finding them MUCH easier to store and... cheaper!) I've explored the net and found you folks. Recently bought the two Jack Kirby books and a Steve Ditko HB as well. LOVE the re-exploration of esoteric and strange vintage comic books that's going on and I'm excited to dig into your collective "collection."

Found that I can store and read cbr comic files on my new cell phone and I'm eager to take comics with me...

thanks! Look forward to chatting with you all,

-Del Villarreal

Thank you, fellas!

what a wonderful resource you have here. I'm going to do my best to search out some vintage Golden Age stuff to upload in the future... does anyone have an online tutorial for scanning a comic and then compressing it into a cbz or cbr file? Do you guys have a preference or opinion as to which format is better?

THANKS
