Thanks for pointing out this Fire-Man story. The idea of their Human Torch guy burning himself out is hilarious. I never thought about flaming characters needing fuel like any other fire. Maybe they have to eat a lot?

The current story-line of the Human Torch in the current FF comic, has him being unable to turn himself off.
