Interesting issue, usually Captain Miracle is Don Lawrence's Marvelman with a change of magic word and a new costume drawn over. I don't know who they drew the costume on this time but he doesn't have any super powers and saves everyone with what looks like a cigarette lighter! Still, thanks for this oddity, got any more?

The British guide states that this features Lawrence art.  What I think has been done is what K1ngcat says, that this is Lawrence art but the Captain Miracle figure has been drawn in, or parts of it altered by another hand, but I can't find the story in my admittedly incomplete Miller collection and it doesn't remind me of a Marvelman story.  It just does not read or look like a Marvelman story, but I could be very wrong.
In a or some later issues of Captain Miracle there was a Captain Miracle Jr.  Can't find any examples.

Not wishing to argue with you, paw, but happy to argue with the British guide, I've seen a lot of Lawrence artwork in my time and would eat my hat and/or anyone else's if this is his. Not only that but it's not even converted MM artwork. It baffles me. Anybody know of any non-super space heroes that Anglo was responsible for? All reasonable offers considered!

No argument.  I agree.  I've said before that the guide has a lot of errors and omissions  and this seems to be one example.
Racking my brain to come up with a space character to fit the bill but so far sfa.
