I read this first issue, including the unillustrated story about visitors from Venus. I was unimpressed, but also not disappointed. The writing and artwork are thoroughly typical. But one panel did catch my eye. I mean the third panel on p. 3 of the "Under the Lens" story, which indirectly -- by means of a shadow -- depicts the ingestion of the drug serum. I wonder if the decision to use the shadow was an artistic decision or an editorial decision made to ensure compliance with the comics code, or perhaps it was a mixture of both considerations.
