The poses and general imagery of the cover were similar to Jack Davis, but I always felt his work had more fine detail than this cover has.

As for the stories, Murder Mansion seemed like a cross between the typical haunted house/mansion/castle story and the "Monkey's Paw" short story of horror fame.

Drury's Dream was a well-executed 1-pager with nice period art.

Death Follows Orders was relatively predictable but it was a very enjoyable read.

Phantom Hounds of Castle Eyne was an atmospheric 1-pager that served its role as filler.

The Chimes of Doom was predictable psychological horror.

Horror's Little Acre (pun on God's Little Acre?) was like a DC House of Mystery story and that's appropriate since Ruben Moreira eventually drew some House of Mystery stories. I thought this was well-done and enjoyable.

Phantom Warning was another predictable 1-pager. I liked a couple of the panels in terms of art.

Day of Reckoning was like an EC vengeance story but with a palette and art style more like that of a Romance comic.

I definitely enjoyed this experience.
