Is there a time limit on downloads?
« on: September 25, 2010, 03:00:30 AM »

I've noticed that anytime I try to download one of the larger files that it will stop and claim that the download is complete before it is finished. It seems to happen right at 10 minutes, give or take a few seconds. I have a DSL ISP so the most I can download in 10 minutes is about 40mb. Any ideas about why this occurs. It's not my computer. It's not my ISP. It only happens when I download from GAC. It would be great if the admin would look into this and remedy this problem. If someone was using a dial-up connection they wouldn't be able to download anything.

We have no time limited implemented. It would not even make sense to have them in my opinion.

I use a DSL ISP also...and I have no problems at all. What is your speed? 40mb in 10 minutes is dang slow for DSL. I suspect that you have the basic level DSL, the up to 768 Kbps. I am running the up to 3.0 Mbps version. I can download a 40mb in under 2 minutes, 3 if others are heavily downloading at the time.
