Another pair of gems from Victor Fox, featuring the Bouncer. From Greek Mythology, mighty Antaeus , Son Of Earth, is rejuvenated whenever he comes in contact with the Earth.  Reminds me of a song ....I get knocked down But I get up again You're never going to keep me down, but I digress. In this story, his direct descendant, with a slightly different spelling, Anteas Jr, creates a statue of his ancestor who comes to life in order to help him fight injustice. And like his ancestor, he bounces back...which makes him The Bouncer, get it? Took me a while. Louis Ferstadt is credited with the art, and he's not bad at all. In these two books, Fox was having a contest in which kids could send in their pictures and write a short 30 word essay on why they should be chosen to help the Bouncer. The winners were then drawn into the stories. Pretty neat concept. Wonder if the kids chosen are still around today?
