Our copy of "Howdy Doody #23" needs to be upgraded, as almost every page has panels destroyed by pieces of the page's paper torn away or eaten away.  It seems that no one looks for replacement copies after several years of the series being listed as "complete".  This is also true for series that had many of their issues filled by poor-quality microfiche copies, and people see the listing as "complete", not realising that many or most of the earliest issues are on very dark, or faded colour, or blurry microfiche copies.
