The first of three brand-new issues of the classic ALTER EGO comic book, by ROY THOMAS and RON HARRIS, is complete and ready to go to press!

And the first thing you need to know about this fund-raising effort is that (above and beyond the actual costs of printing and shipping) every dollar you contribute will be going straight to Ron Harris, because this fund-raising effort is also meant to help finance Ron's work on the next two issues of Alter Ego.

Regarding the comic book itself: This time, in this SIXTH issue of Alter Ego, when young Rob Lindsay dons the mystic mask that transforms him into the world's greatest hero, he finds himself fighting the forces of evil in the world of Funny Animal superheroes.

Featured in this 24-page tale are fully a dozen Funny Animal heroes from out of the 1950s and 1960s. But some of those heroes have turned traitor. They've succumbed to the blandishments of the evil HOOD, and betrayed their ideals by joining forces with him! Now it's up to Alter Ego to galvanize the remaining good guys into action, and thwart the Hood's plans for world domination.

This new issue of Alter Ego also introduces Roy and Ron's newest creation, the mysterious Canadian mercenary known as the SKUNK BEAR.

Great idea, and nice artwork!  The story has a good plot, too.  I would have had a good time drawing those characters.  I'm too shaky to do my own inking now.  Fun to see those characters in new stories.  Good luck with this ambitious project.
