I usually have to go to two of the local CBS here to find most, if not all the issue available. And here too, they seem to have Sunday open still for these.
And that's on the west side of the mountains to you, (PS Area).
Have fun B, I know I will.

My lcs, in Stirling is participating, so I'll be there.  I don't know who else in Scotland will be involved.  Not a lot of use to most on CB+ but just to show we still have comic shops here.

I am really looking forward to this! After seeing Avengers last night with a batch of folks from my LCS, I anticipate some prime goodies!

I'll remember to post about what I pick up.

Hey gang,
it's not too late to get some free issues of various TwoMorrow magazines like ALTER EGO and BACK ISSUE or JACK KIRBY COLLECTOR.
Not the latest issues but if you haven't seen any of these give them a chance.  Costs you nothing on Free Comic Book Day.

http://twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=108

You will have to register, add them to your shopping cart and check-out but your total is $0 and they give you links to download from at the end.

They had a good crowd at my LCS yesterday and I arrived early before a lot of things got going.  They had free cookies, face painting for the kids and other things going on.  Lots of family orientated stuff.  I saw a good number of kids there with their parents.

We were allowed five free comics with a minimum five dollar purchase (no problem on that account).  My choices were Peanuts/Adventure Time-KaBoom, Branaby and Mr O'Malley-Fantagraphics, Donald Duck Family Comics-Fantagraphics, Bongo Comics Free-For-All!/Spongebob Comics-Bongo and The New 52!-DC.

They were also collecting for a local charity (Hospice of the Valley) and I was glad to see that most everyone was giving a donation when they checked out.

Best

There was also a good crowd at my lcs in Stirling but it's not hard to fill it 'cos it's tiny.  Nevertheless, there was a real buzz, a lot of good humour and chat and, more importantly, lots of wee kids in and out with parents.  Some of the parents were obviously new to the comics world and there were some interesting reactions.  5 free comics, whether or not you were buying bit I noticed that very few folk simply took the freebies and walked away.  I spent far too much as Dave had got me the Sixth Gun book 3 tpb and there was a fair pile in my standing order.  I took the Disney Donald Duck Family; 2000AD; Image primer thingy and the Mouse Guard hardback.  The Disney titles can't be legally sold in the U.K. (according to Diamond) so, I could be given a free issue but the shop can't order the regular monthlies.
Hopefully, a lot of the first-timers and those just putting a toe in the water, will come back for more.

Most of these titles seem familiar.  I reckon my lcs had them all.  I guess Archie didn't do one this year or did they do something without their regular stars?

Curious
