Holyoke One Shot #10
« on: May 13, 2008, 10:05:37 PM »

In narfstar's ftp.  Pics not scans but look good.  These are reprints of even more rare Crash Comics.  If anyone can help identify which issue it would be appreciated.

Well Narfstar, by cross-referencing the Keltner Index with the GCD, it looks like all of these stories, with the possible exception of the text story, are reprinted from Crash #2.

(Used a little detective work, here.  The page counts match Keltner's exactly for Crash #2.  GCD page counts for each story  from issues of Crash don't quite match up to Keltner's, or to your pics from "One Shot #10" either.  So I tend to go with Keltner on this.  Additionally, GCD doesn't list any text features for either Crash or "One Shot".)

Hope that helps.

Hey Narf,
Thanks for losding those. I see the scans aren't lying totally flat. Are you scanning without closing the cover

or are these scans from someone else?

Cheers

These are digital camera pics not scans.  Some do not care for pics but they are much faster and my comic is in pretty good shape so did not want to scan it.  I think pics can give it an almost comic in hand look.

 ???
Thanks Narstar for the scans.
But I do find them strangely elongated - almost twice as tall as they are wide.
I expect I can correct the ratio with IrFranview but I thought I should mention it here as well.

I will check also.  I used infran to shrink the scans so they would not be too big.  Maybe I mis-set the aspect ratio

Ah yes, that makes sense.  An easy mistake to make.
If you felt like uploading a correct version I'd be happy to exchange it with the current one.

Thanks again for the scans!
