If it's of any interest, there is a French reprint of a Masked Marvel story on site:-

Title of the 8 pager is Le Faucon and dated May, 1946.  The comic corresponds to the 2nd. story in the Masked Marvel comic.  The panels and pages have been re-arranged and a credit added to the title page.  All very curious and worth a look to compare.

Not an unusual occurrence back then to have other companies advertise their books in a competing companies book. Holyoke use to have their books advertised in Fox books. just an FYI
