So apparently VCU (in Richmond, VA) has a very impressive cache of comics.

I got some indexing data from there when a I started this Suzie project I have been on.  I had a couple of email chats with Cindy Jackson, the Curator, and she's very nice and appreciates our little site here. They do allow folks to come and scan books from their collection. So, if you are near there, you may want to consider
dropping by with a scanner and laptop. I wish I lived close enough.

Cindy said they literally have thousands of books waiting to be indexed, let alone scanned. This is pretty much her life's work.

btw as far as I can tell almost all of the copies we have of PS Preventive Maintenance came from VCU scans

It is nice to see a University willing to help the hobby at these two sites. (here and DCM) Most Universities have a stick stuck so far up their, well you know, about allowing people to even access their comic collections, let alone scan them

In there foreign language bit on that link they say what languages they have and one that is omitted or not mentioned is Italian Fumetti(s). Would it be ok to contact someone on that subject since I love the Italian books? Your opinion guys and gals?
