DC CHRONICLES
« on: July 05, 2009, 01:50:05 AM »

DC has been reprinting all the Batman and Superman stories in chronological order for the past few years. Nice little four color reprint books costing about $15 (only $10 when you order them before they are published from Amazon) Each one is about 225 pages or so.
They are pretty interesting books, in fact they are they only "new" comic books that I purchase any more.
Superman is up to volume 6, and Batman is up to 7.
The books are very no frills, just a simple  table of contents telling you where each story comes from, and when they jump to a new issue in the book they reprint the cover for that comic.
The covers of each reprint book have nice period artwork of the hero from the time period contained in the book placed on a white background.
If any of you would like to have some nice books to read and actually hold a physical book in your hand these can hardly be beat!
They have started to do the same with the silver age Green Lantern, starting with the Showcase issues and going on to his series. This is the book I really like best of the series so far, the stories and art are great. I just love that Gil Kane artwork.
Next up on there line of reprints is the Silver age Flash! Carmine Infantino at his best! Yeah!!!!
If you a youngster in your life that you would like to introduce comics to, you would have to look long and hard to find something better than these books.
