Don't blame the scanner. This is one of those 'placeholder' uploads because it's a comic many want to read, but the only available scan came from a microfiche copy. That was how they preserved old documents in the pre-digital age, by mechanically reducing the image to a small piece of acetate film, and losing a ton of resolution in the process. It's better than nothing (even if not by much) until a real digital scan from the paper comic book is available.
